New Year Update from Kent

Fishing for Schools coach Kevin Durman returned to Orchard School in Canterbury in early January, where eight pupils are taking part in Fishing for schools this term.

“ It’s absolutely brilliant to be back working with the schools, these kids love having fishing in their lives, it makes a real difference.” – Kevin Durman, Fishing for Schools Coach

Plenty of fish were caught up at Coombewood Fishery, High Halden.

Fishing sessions are interspersed with broader practical skills, for example students are taught to set up a whip from scratch.

We look forward to hearing more from Kevin and Orchard School this year.
