Fishing for Schools benefits from a partnership with fishing tackle giant, The Tackle Box

We are very excited to continue our partnership with the folk at The Tackle Box, a Dartford-based stockist of carp fishing tackle and equipment from leading brands, to help deliver Fishing for Schools this year.

In addition to supporting Fishing for Schools sessions at Longfield Academy, The Tackle Box have kindly provided kit to support our work in Kent.

The Tackle Box said:

We are proud to be supporting Fishing for Schools (F4S). Not only does it give some youngsters a better chance in life, but also highlights the benefits of angling with regards to mental wellbeing.
It has been proven that the youngsters that take part in the fishing sessions that F4S provides begin to improve in other areas of their academic work in the classroom. This is far more important to us, and it illustrates that an outdoor pursuit such as fishing is beneficial in ways that were not realised before. We had no hesitation to continue our support for 2024.

Fishing for Schools Director says of the partnership:

“Working with The Tacklebox is a dream come true: I have known and shopped at the store for over three decades; their knowledge and foresight has been legendary and unwavering – but this company is so much more.
Their kindness and support for angling in all areas has been and is phenomenal: From raffle prizes for the Tenchfishers and other organisations to funding an entire school with Fishing for Schools. There are simply insufficient words of thanks for Brothers Peet and the mighty Tackle Box crew. Thank you”.

We’re looking forward to our sessions with Longfield Academy, which begin next month.
