Hats off to Warren White and the Kent team who have been coaching Charlton Athletic Community Group for 13 years. It’s a day that they look forward to each year.
Warren White gives us the lowdown of the day:
"A really good turn out today for a Fishing for Schools, Angling event with Charlton Athletic Community, mental health group at Shorne Country Park. The coaches arrived early to torrential rain, and to be honest i thought the event might be cancelled. But the group from Charlton phoned to say they were on their way, such is their desire to go fishing.
"The fishing was not easy today but we managed to catch some good roach, crucians and one good sized carp on the pole. I have never known a time where people are so keen to get outside and enjoy the outdoor environment. This is the 13th year that we have been coaching this group, and it is always a proud moment to be with them."
