Fishing for Schools coach, Rob Doyle, updates us on a recent fishing session with the wonderful students at Yewstock School.
It was cold and windy (what else, lately) and the staff and pupils were absolutely fantastic, despite the weather. It was fabulous to watch one Yewstock student playing fish as if it was the most natural thing in the world, landing a near 6lb carp on a 4m elasticated whip.
Every single pupil caught carp with a few catching more than one, as well as perch, roach rudd and skimmers.
An excellent day - made all the better by having fellow F4S coach, Julie Wicks, helping.
