2022 Fishing for Schools comes to Cambridge

Fishing for Schools visited St Ives last week to introduce the world of fishing to a group of enthusiastic students at Farm Club.

Under the guidance of our Fishing for Schools coaches, Richard and Philippa, a wide range of topics were introduced and discussed –the different branches of fishing, staying safe and the countryside code.

Over two days, students learnt how to assemble a rod, thread a line and master three different knots. The cooking sessions were expertly delivered by Richard and Philippa.

“The concentration level was phenomenal, everyone should be very proud of what we achieved in the first two of our four days. We held a quiz and the answers were superb! Next is casting and retrieving, so lots to look forward to” – Fishing for Schools Coach, Richard Winser.

Well done to all for two fantastic days of learning and gaining new skills.
