Why become a Patron

By joining the Fishing for Schools Patron programme, you become part of our family of supporters who are helping to shape the future of Fishing for Schools.

Our Patron scheme provides a crucial source of income to enable us to continue our existing work, to develop new angling related initiatives and to support our ambition to give all young people an opportunity to learn through angling.

Joining as a Patron means you are helping…

  • Support our vital work delivering impactful learning experiences for the hundreds of young people who engage in our programme each year.

  • Build new and adapt our programmes to meet the specific needs of the young people participating in Fishing for Schools.

  • Develop a portfolio of fishing qualifications, built around key curriculum subjects, as a way of engaging pupils and the development of soft skills.

  • Grow our coaching team and extend our reach across the country.

  • Deliver our popular inter school competition in Kent.

  • Offer additional subjects to enhance learning, including cooking and art.

We have ambitious plans, which can only be realised through the support of generous individuals who share our vision for high quality angling education.

“Having been an enthusiastic admirer of Fishing for Schools ever since its earliest days, I feel privileged to have become an ambassador as it seems to me to be everything such a charity should be. It is run in impressively streamlined fashion, and you can see exactly where the funding goes; and the results are readily visible, too, on the faces of those many young people who have never before had the happy experience (which some of us perhaps take for granted) of fun and a fresh perspective away from the Great Indoors."

David Profumo, Eminent Angler, Author and F4S Ambassador.
